Son of the Utagawa school artisit Yoshimune and a student of Yoshitoshi. Known as Toshiyuki until 1881 when he took his father's name. This print is from a series of night scenes by various artists published by Hasegawa/Nishinomiya and advertised in a catalog from the 1930s.
