Kobayakawa Takakage debating with a tengu on Mt. Hiko
Oban (9 3/4" X 14 1/4")
Some embossing and burnishing; backed
In this design, Yoshitoshi portrays the tengu as a yamabushi (mountain priest) who has appeared suddenly out of the mists – the swaths of gray that are obscuring the fearless general Kobayakawa and his frightened troops.
