Comment Extremely rare design from the primitive period. An urushi-e (lacquer print). The yellow color and the gold dust on the curtain are applied by hand to the printed outline.
Some mounting residue on the back.
This is the left hand section of a three part design printed on one sheet and then cut apart. The other two parts show courtesans from Edo and Kyoto.
