Comment The MFA in Boston has this print which they identify as attributed to Kuniyoshi.
The Ansei period was fraught with disasters, most notably the Kanto earthquake of 1855 which killed 7000 people and destroyed 50,000 homes and 50 temples, many from fire. There was also a cholera outbreak. This print includes the Buddhist prayer Namu Amida Butsu.
